November 3: Separation Panama to Colombia

on November 3, 1903 took place the proclamation of the independence in the city of Panama, decision that it found immediately I endorse in the rest of the country and the Panamanians of consumption declared this territory as an independent and sovereign State with the name of the Republic of Panama.

November 4th: Flag Day

The Panamanian flag consists of a rectangle divided into four quarters: the first near the mast top, white in a blue five-pointed star; then the second top of the already described, red; the first lower pole near the blue; and the second following it, white with a red 5-pointed star.
The idea.
The Panamanian flag was designed by Manuel Encarnación Amador Torrero and was made by Dona Maria De La Ossa de Amador.
Don Manuel E. Amador took the sketch as a reference for political considerations, characteristics of political parties devised by two (2) colors (represented by Liberal and Conservative red represented by the blue color). White symbolizes peace which came both parties. The stars indicated righteousness, strength and features the country's development authority.

November 5: Separation Movement in Columbus

It was then a member of the Revolutionary Council of Columbus, Juan Antonio Henríquez, Panama sent them a telegram which read: "Only now, 7:30 pm can be said that the independence of Panama is assured."
And all this happened on last November 5, 1903, that day is when we commemorate today.
If we think of the hours of anguish and terror lived in Columbus, and the efforts made by Panamanians and Americans to resolve the dangerous situation while in Panama reigned relative quiet, we can not but exclaim: Remember Columbus not only today but for the rest time, and let us help you in truth, rather it has helped since the rest of the nation
